The Bagel Shop is about simple, generous food made well, plus great coffee and a place that feels easy to be in. We have cafes on the coast in Sidmouth and Lyme Regis and have recently introduced our seaside vibe to the city of Exeter, Devon.

In the beginning
The Bagel Shop started life in Sidmouth, Devon, during the Covid lockdown days of 2020. It began as a small, family-run business with a love for our coastal town and a desire to serve the community that makes it tick all-year-round.
From bright sunny mornings, to quieter grey days, we have always aimed to be a 'constant' – welcoming familiar faces and feeding everyone from dog walkers to day-trippers, whatever the weather.
As The Bagel Shop has expanded – now with cafes in Lyme Regis and Exeter too – that consistent seaside spirit has stayed at the heart of everything we do:

Alongside The Bagel Shop, we are proud to have launched a small collection of coastal brands, each with the same focus on quality, warmth and community. From relaxed seaside dining at The Arches Beach Cafe to no-nonsense beachside ice cream classics at Waves Beach Kiosk – both on Sidmouth seafront and serving our own Redstack Coffee Co coffee, roasted to pair perfectly with life by the coast.
